About the data
Ten seconds of a single recording from a healthy control subject: the conventional 12 leads and the three Frank leads X, Y and Z, recorded at the same time at 1,000 samples per second. Nothing here is synthesized; every point on screen is a measured sample.
- Source
- PTB Diagnostic ECG Database 1.0.0, record patient122/s0312lre (Bousseljot et al., 1995), via PhysioNet (Goldberger et al., 2000). Open Data Commons Attribution License v1.0.
- Processing
- Zero-phase band-pass 0.05–40 Hz; baseline removed with a spline through each beat’s PR segment. P, QRS and T boundaries are estimated automatically from the median beat.
- Axes
- Seen from the front: the subject’s left is on your right, head up, chest toward you. Frank leads are close to, but not exactly, orthogonal.
- What it is not
- The loop is the direction and strength of the heart’s overall electrical field. It is not the shape of the heart, nor the path current takes through it. Nothing here is a diagnosis.
